Starting at 1,000m elevation, NATURAL SELECTION is the most advanced descent on Mt Owen. This upper trail section is raw and exposed, a true double-black diamond trail for high level riders seeking the most demanding descents. It connects seamlessly with Waterfall Trail, a blue-rated trail that brings you all the way into the heart of Queenstown.

Forget the hike or push-up! RoamWild Tasmania now offers an uplift shuttle to NATURAL SELECTION trailhead. Shuttles carry 6 riders and 6 bikes and the only way to access the upper mountain. The shuttle access is very steep, requires a low range 4x4 passenger vehicle procedure and is therefore gated and not open to public vehicles.
