Queenstown's lower Mt Owen trails are accessed with just a short pedal from the CBD up Tramway Street. No shuttle required.

• Welcome To Queenstown is a green rated trail that starts with a robust pedal up onto Little Owen, one of Mt Owens foothills from where you can choose a smooth flowing descent back to Queenstown or, 

• Continue onto Sticht up and take the blue rated descent from there or,

• Continue onto the back country Sledge Track to complete the full lower trails loop.

Upper Mt Owen Trails require a specialised 4x4 uplift shuttle to the Mt Owen spur. From this trail head the testing blue/black Long Spur trail or the focus demanding black North Owen Descent can be ridden down to the Linda Valley. These trails are gritty, coarse, rocky and exposed. Load back onto the shuttle for the trip back up onto the Mt Owen Spur for the 16Km epic mix of trail adventure back to Queenstown. If you think you have what it takes there is the added option of taking the shuttle further up the Mountain almost to the summit to take on the double black diamond rated trail aptly named Natural Selection.

The shuttle service is always available for climbers, para gliders, spectators, media crews and just general sightseers.
